About William Cope Moyers:
William Cope Moyers is a nationally recognized advocate for addiction recovery and mental health, renowned for his ability to intertwine personal experience with professional expertise. As the son of esteemed journalist Bill Moyers, William has used his platform to shed light on the challenges and stigma surrounding substance use disorders. His journey from addiction to recovery, chronicled in his bestselling memoir Broken, serves as a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative power of recovery. Through his work as the vice president of public affairs and community relations at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, he has become a leading voice in promoting compassionate care and evidence-based treatment.

A sought-after speaker and author, Moyers draws from his own struggles and triumphs to inspire others to seek help and embrace hope. His commitment to advocacy extends to raising awareness about the systemic barriers to recovery, such as access to care and societal judgment. Whether addressing policymakers, healthcare providers, or individuals affected by addiction, Moyers uses his story to humanize the complexities of substance use and underscore the urgent need for empathy and action. His work continues to bridge the gap between understanding addiction as a disease and implementing meaningful solutions to support those in need.
