Opening Reception — Willard Boepple: Paper, Wood, and Steel
Upsilon Gallery, New York | 23 E 67th St on Madison Ave
Upsilon Gallery is pleased to present Willard Boepple: Paper, Wood, and Steel, the artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery, bringing together a selection of sculptures and works on paper that distill Boepple’s lifelong engagement with form, structure, and material clarity.
Working across mediums, from wood and steel to the translucency of paper, Boepple creates a visual language defined by rhythm, restraint, and spatial harmony. His abstractions evoke both architectural precision and poetic balance, revealing an artist deeply attuned to the dialogue between weight and lightness, motion and stillness.
Boepple’s work is represented in major institutional collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Storm King Art Center, The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, and national museums in Kenya and Botswana.
Collectors, advisors, and curators are invited to join us in celebrating this landmark exhibition, an opportunity to encounter Boepple’s masterful synthesis of material and form within a new context at Upsilon Gallery.
