Join Will Kao for his final show in Christchurch before he leaves to NYC to study at Manhattan School of Music. This gig will reflect Will’s musical journey in Christchurch from Day 1 by showcasing a variety of Christchurch’s finest musicians aside him. The set includes a wide genre of music alongside some old and new originals.William Kao is a trombonist, pianist, and composer from Christchurch, New Zealand. He has performed internationally at venues including The Bebop (Boston), Smalls Jazz Club (New York), and East Shore Jazz Club (Beijing). A multi-instrumentalist, he holds a Bachelor of Music from Ara Music Arts and attended the Berklee College of Music 5-Week Program on a full scholarship. A nationwide award-winning composer, William leads projects including the Will Kao Quintet and Will’s Latin Experiment. His debut EP, Journey’s End (2025), showcases his voice in modern jazz.
