About this Event
Private gardens cover 4.6% of the UK, and have a huge potential to support wildlife, as well as providing huge benefits to gardeners in improved mental and physical health and social wellbeing. Welcoming wildlife into your garden can be very simple but also deeply rewarding. Imagine dragonflies glittering through the air over your lawn or the prickly form of a hedgehog snuffling through the grass. Come learn the basics and go away inspired with new ideas to try at home. Bring your questions and share your experiences.
The talk will start at 6pm in the education centre, but the reserve will be open from 5pm if you would like to take a walk or have a picnic first. We have our own wildlife garden onsite which you can explore too. The evening will start with the talk then move outside to look at real life examples in our garden. Hot drinks and biscuits available on arrival.
