This magical Monday, we’re exploring the secret life of owls—creatures of mystery, moonlight, and marvellous facts.
We’ll follow an owl facts trail through the trees, learning whooo’s who in the world of owls discovering:
🦉 A group of owls is called a Parliament
🦉 Owls can turn their heads up to 270 degrees
🦉 When they fly, they make no sound at all
And more….
Gather beneath the branches for gentle woodland stories like “Owl Babies”, “Wow! Said the Owl”, and —stories of wonder, waiting, and wide-eyed awe.
🖌️ Nature Crafts:
Make your own pinecone owl, a bark ‘Wow Owl’, or a wood slice owl with wings that fly—with options for all ages and abilities.
🌿 Sensory Play:
Feather trays filled with soft textures, gentle colours, and natural treasures invite little ones to explore with care and curiosity.
🦉 The Hoot cafe corner
Inspired by “Wow! Said the Owl’s” rainbow of discovery, our café will offer:
🥣 warm oat porridge
🌈 A rainbow fruit platter with juicy reds, golden oranges, green grapes, blueberries and blackberries
🌰 Oaty flapjacks with fruity “eyes”
☕ Cosy mugs of hot chocolate, just right for little woodland explorers
🎶 Song Time:
We’ll sing “Twit Twoo Says the Wise Old Owl” (to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)
