About this Event
A Once in a Blue Moon Event!
The blue moon is the rare occurance when there are two full moons in one month or when there are four moons in a season. The next monthly blue moon will be Dec. 31, 2028!
Blue moons are a time of growth, wisdom, and renewed opportunities. It's a wonderful time to think of an intention that you want to fulfill by the next blue moon!
Join us for this magical event! Audrey will take us on a moonlit walk (approx 1.5 mi total) with a stop for a guided meditation. The walk will be at a slow pace, the trail is gravel and mostly flat. There will be some bench seating for the meditation, although most seating will be on the ground.
Getting There:
Go to the main entrance of Buddy Attick Lake Park that has the parking lot (close to the playground). We will meet beside the restroom building, the small building you can see from the parking lot.
Parking is free.
There are several bus stops nearby.
What to Bring:
- flashlight
- bugspray
- weather appropriate clothing
- water
- comfortable walking shoes
- a blanket to sit on
- items to charge under the full moon (optional)
Note: please leave all furry friends at home for this event
About Your Host:
Audrey is a self proclaimed nature nerd, who can identify over 200 plants. She feels renewed by wandering in the woods, reading in a hammock, gardening, and dancing. She has created this group modeled after an AMAZING group she was a part of in Austin, TX called Women Empowering Women in Nature. She emulates that group's mission to bring women together and cocreate a supportive, creative, and uplifting space while leaning into the healing powers of the outdoors.
