This month's topic on Cervidae (Deer family) will be presented by Ranger Lauren Hay!Cervids are members of the Cervidae family, a diverse group of over 40 species of hoofed ruminant mammals known for having split hooves and, typically in males, deciduous antlers. Major species include deer (white-tailed, mule, sika, red), elk, moose, caribou (reindeer), and muntjacs, ranging globally except for Australia and Antarctica.
