Wild Walk - Purple Emperor Walk at Cloud Wood

Cloud Wood is one of our best sites for flora with over 220 recorded species of ferns and flowering plants. Herb Paris, Violet Helleborine, Bee Orchids – it stands to reason that such a host of flowers would attract a whole load of Butterflies! Speckled Wood, White-Letter Hairstreak, most arresting of all, the Purple Emperor. 

Join us on this summer’s day during our triple anniversary year, to hunt for vivid-winged Butterflies. This event is open to all.
