Experience Vizcaya’s gardens as they transform into an outdoor science lab under the stars! Join local scientists and educators for a night of discovery as you explore the estate’s lush landscape and meet the fascinating creatures that come alive after sunset.

Designed especially for families, this after-hours adventure combines art, science, and nature to spark curiosity and deepen family connections — inspiring a lasting appreciation for the natural world around us.

IMPORTANT | Orders with no child tickets will be canceled.

• Fun Giveaways: Each child will receive a flashlight at check-in — a gift to light their nocturnal journey through Vizcaya’s gardens. While supplies last.
• Science-Based Artmaking: Learn from Vizcaya’s education team and create an artwork inspired by Vizcaya's local flora and fauna. Materials are included with admission.
• Storytime + Crafting: Gather for a story circle with the Miami-Dade Public Library about a special nighttime animal, followed by a themed craft activity. Library staff will also be on site to sign up new readers for free library cards!
• Hands-on Learning: Meet local organizations and experts to learn about South Florida’s unique plants and animals through interactive activities. Including: Vizcaya's Horticulture and Sustainability team, Miami Waterkeeper, Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, University of Miami Biology, Miami-Dade County's Department of Environmental Resources Management, Coral Restoration Foundation and more!

• Take a break from exploring to enjoy delicious bites and beverages for purchase from the Vizcaya Café pop-up in the Service Area.
• As you stroll through the illuminated gardens, enjoy ambient music throughout the evening that sets the mood for discovery and wonder.
• Vizcaya Family Programs offer fun experiences for people of all ages to share in learning about our shared history and environment while fostering connections among Miami-area households with young children.
