About this Event
The culmination of Wild Toronto, our city-wide day of free outdoor adventure.
From 4 to 7pm on Sunday, May 24, MEC's Queen West flagship becomes Toronto's outdoor living room for the night.
Whether you've spent the day hiking the Don, paddling the Humber, learning skills at Fjällräven Queen West, or you're just curious about getting outside, this is where the day comes together.
Live music, drinks, and a room of your kind of people
Sidelaunch Brewing are serving up drinks (the Northbound Lager and the Lemon Berry Mist), live music, and a room full of outdoor enthusiasts at every level. Bring questions, bring opinions about gear, bring a friend or come alone. You'll leave with new ones.
The headline talk: Ann-Marie Brissett
A national-level powerlifter turned outdoorswoman, Ann-Marie (@its_ann_calling) moved from outdoors-shy city girl to wilderness warrior. Her story is the one most Torontonians need to hear: that the outdoors is for everyone, the access is closer than you think, and finding people to go with is half the battle. Thirty minutes of honest, conversational storytelling, with actionable advice for anyone who wants to get started.
Discounted Shopping & Giveaways
We'll be keeping the store open so you can shop at a 15% discount throughout the event and stock up for the upcoming season.
There'll be outdoor gear giveaways throughout the night generously donated by MEC.
The Crew Membership launch
The event serves as double duty as the launch of Wilderness Union's new, free Crew Membership: a way to be part of Toronto's outdoor community without commitment or cost. Join the crew, hear about socials and skills clinics, and get plugged into the network of people who actually do this stuff.
The social, after
When the doors close at 7, we move to a nearby bar to keep the night going. Address shared on the night.
