WILD HONEY COLLECTIVE
The Wild Honey Collective formed in the summer of 2020 to perform original songs and traditional American folk music. Singers and songwriters Tommy McCord, Danielle Gyger, Timmy Rodriguez, and Dan O’Brien, joined shortly thereafter by pedal steel guitarist Adam Aymor, launched the project in rural Michigan as a back porch acoustic gathering purely for the love of music while the industry was on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rootsy and unassuming beginning of the band immediately led to the recording of the 2021 "Volume 1" album, with the ensuing years bringing more albums, touring, the addition of drummer Joel Kuiper, and steady collaborations with other musicians as the collective continues to embrace the range of sounds between traditional old time, rowdy country rock, rootsy psychedelia, and hints of punk in the band's own "North Country" sound.

BRIAN LISIK
Brian Lisik & Hard Legs (Lisik, vocals and guitar; Robb Myers, guitar; and Martyn Flunoy, drums) conjured the ghosts of its collective musical past while making its latest studio album, appropriately dubbed "Nu Wreckard." Lisik described the short, smart, snotty and irreverent seven-song collection as “born from us getting in a room, making some noise and seeing what happens.”
"Nu Wreckard" deftly traverses an ocean of genres – from raw ‘50s rock and 90s grunge to campy ‘70s TV cop show sounds and features appearances from Lisik’s long-time bassist, vocalist and songwriting partner Steve Norgrove, saxophonist Ian Early (Cherry Poppin’ Daddies), and Akron rock legends The Bizarros, of which Flunoy is also a member.
"Nu Wreckard" follows Brian Lisik & Hard Legs’ intentionally unvarnished, Don Dixon-produced live album "Hotsy Totsy!" American Songwriter placed “Monk,” a searingly profane non-single from that album, among its Top 24 songs of the year. "Hotsy Totsy!" was also named one of the Canton Repository’s “Best of 2022” releases.
No Depression called Lisik’s music “a winning formula of catchy phrasing, jangly guitar riffs and great pop hooks.”
The Seattle Post Intelligencer said his songs evoke “A rough and tumble garage-y sound…with Lisik’s hoarse, heartland-rocking voice soaked deep in an ocean of chunky guitars”
Music writer Lee Zimmerman called Lisik's music "sharp, smart and full of edgy intensity…bold, assertive and flush with full tilt rock ‘n’ roll.”
