About this Event
On Sunday, May 10th, Wild Honey is thrilled to present the amazing Eric Goulden AKA Wreckless Eric, and Austin Indie legend KATHY MCCARTY. to celebrate their new records and their deep catalog.
Doors open at 330 pm. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale. There is plenty of unrestricted street parking. All profits go to the artists and Wild Honey's effort to aid the autism community and artists with short-term financial needs.
Eric Goulden is known to many as Wreckless Eric though most are unaware of his prodigious recorded output since his beginnings on Stiff Records in the mid-seventies.For this show Eric will be alone with electric and acoustic guitars, and electronics of his own making. He tends to do what he wants to do rather than what might be expected. He’llmost likely play his big hit from the seventies, the enduring Whole Wide World. Hemay play other songs from various stages career, but the set will most likely focus on his new album,England Screaming, released on Tapete Records in November 2025.Expect songs, stories and soundscapes, but don’t expect a recreation of 1977 - thepast forty-seven years have made him so much more than that.
Goulden has enjoyed a genuinely extraordinary career.

Kathy McCarty became well-known in the United States in the legendary band Glass Eye. Featuring her idiosyncratic guitar work and stunning original songs, the band became widely known on the indie college rock circuit for a distinct mix of pop and avant-garde through 4 critically acclaimed albums, 2 EPs and over twenty tours.
After Glass Eye broke up she recorded an album of covers by a soon-to-be famous songwriter named Daniel Johnston. “Dead Dog’s Eyeball” would be a revelation with its hooks galore, soaring alto vocals and imaginative production by former Glass Eye bandmate Brian Beattie (who also produced records for The Dead Milkmen, Okkervil River, Bill Callahan and Daniel Johnston himself among others). The album garnered national attention and made many big name end-of-year Top Ten lists.
“Another Day in the Sun”, also produced by Beattie, is a confident full length follow-up to “Dead Dog’s Eyeball” that featured 14 new Kathy McCarty originals. In March 2026 the long-awaited release of her third solo album “APOTHEOSIS” will occur, followed by touring dates across the United States.
