One year ago, we gathered for the first Wild, Free & Empowered women’s circle. We spoke truth.
We reclaimed instinct.
We remembered parts of ourselves that had learned to go quiet to stay safe.
This March, we gather again.
Not to ignite more fire —
but to honour what has risen.
To grieve what was never witnessed.
To lay down what we have been carrying.
This is a grounded, trauma-aware, heart-centred ceremony for women.
Together we will begin with gentle grounding and body-based presence, open the voice through soft collective sound, create a shared altar with flowers and personal offerings, and enter a grief ritual supported by drum and song. Women will be invited to approach the altar to release, remember or honour — or simply remain seated and be held.
Sharing is always optional. Silence is honoured. You are welcome exactly as you are.
This evening is co-held with Jess Heaton (MedicunaMamaHealing), who offers heart-centred holistic healing rooted in earth teachings and sacred ceremonial work. Jess is also founder of Rooted, a Bristol-based queer-inclusive wellbeing community centred around safety, grounding, growth and celebration.
This event forms part of the Roots & Resilience Programme, supported by MIND, helping us make this space accessible and community-supported.
You are welcome to bring a small object for the altar if you wish — something that represents what you are grieving, releasing or remembering. Wear comfortable clothing and come as you are.
Wild, Free & Empowered continues not louder, but deeper.
We gather where the fire settles.
We gather to remember.
We gather to hold and be held.
