Its a wonderful time of year, and its one of the most abundant times on the calendar. Nature always provides and this walk will start to show you her beautiful miracles waiting to be unveiled to us , if we stop, look and listen .This is a community event where you will make new friends and make some new foraging connections in the area ! We will also maybe go out for dinner on the Saturday evening if everyone feels to .
All our Foraging weekends are for people who really want to memorise these plants forever, even teach them,the way we teach is very specialised and unique, we want you to go away with the knowledge firmly planted in your head ! We want humanity to become deeply nature connected - going on short foraging walks just doesnt cut the mustard !
So gather your spring step and join us for these magical deeply nature connective walks , where we will become hunter gatherers , smelling ,tasting, touching this lushess land and foliage that is our birthright to know and savour.
Every day we will go to 2 or 3 different sites, learning round 15 plants over the weekend, we will stop for lunch in the forest and make a big wild salad every day, then walk again to re-cap on what we have just found , so you will really get to know these plants and be able to I.D them without a doubt by the end of the weekend.
You will go back home with a firm understanding of many plants , feel fulfilled and like all hunter gatherers once felt , filled with elation and joy at just having spent a day in silence wondering the lands of old , opening up your heart and feeding yourself with the most nutritious food on the planet !
