Katrina Hornung has acquired nearly ten years of experience sustainably sourcing edible and medicinal plants, as well as finding ways to preserve and share them. She loves spending time out with in nature with her dog, Hades, foraging for the finest things the low country has to offer, and spending time in the garden You can find her on Instagram at @filipinoforager
During this guided walk, you’ll learn how to confidently identify wild edible plants that grow right here in our region and discuss their culinary and practical uses. Katrina brings deep knowledge, cultural perspective, and a grounded, safety-first approach to foraging that makes this experience both empowering and accessible.
This is not a lecture — it’s an experience. We’ll be outside, observing, touching, asking questions, and building real skills you can carry into your own backyard, homestead, or hikes.
