Created and helmed by Ava Monroe, Wigs! marries the spontaneity of improv with the structure of narrative theatre. When audience members buy a ticket, they're asked to suggest a type of story — a M**der mystery, a romantic comedy, a coming-of-age tale, and more. On the night of the show, a wheel spins as the audience takes their seats, revealing the randomly selected genre that will shape that evening's performance. Then, in a moment of ceremonial camp, wigs are donned by our cast - bestowed upon them by the fabulous Queen of the Night and hand-picked by the audience. With just a few props and zero rehearsal, the actors spring into action. Whether audiences find themselves in a gritty detective noir or a sun-drenched summer camp rom-com, this isn't your typical improv show. Wigs! is on-your-feet narrative storytelling - character-driven, fully embodied, and guided by quick, brilliant actors who craft an entirely new story every single night.
