About the book: On the day of his retirement the famed “Nazi Hunter” Simon Wiesenthal welcomes one final group of students to his Jewish Documentation Center in Vienna, Austria. With warmth, wit and surprising humor this charming man known as “The Conscience of the Holocaust” recounts the remarkable story of how, after cheating death at the hands of Hitler’s dreaded S.S, he dedicated his life to tracking down and bringing to justice the greatest mass murderers in human history.

About the Author: 

Tom Dugan is a distinguished Los Angeles-based playwright and actor recognized as "A National Treasure" by critics. Over his career spanning more than 40 years, he has received numerous awards and nominations from prestigious organizations such as the New York Drama Desk, New York Outer Critics Circle, Los Angeles Ovation, Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, and Los Angeles Stage Scene.

Dugan is renowned for his meticulously researched historical one-person plays, which have been staged across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Israel, India, Australia, Italy, and Scotland. His acclaimed play "Wiesenthal," portraying the life of Nazi Hunter Simon Wiesenthal, garnered praise from the New York Times as "Heartbreaking and beautiful." Produced Off-Broadway by Daryl Roth and featured on PBS, "Wiesenthal" is set to open at London’s The Kings Head Theatre in the coming fall and is available through Next Stage Press.

Among his other notable productions are "Tell Him It’s Jackie," starring Kait Haire as Jackie Kennedy, described by Curtain Up as "Masterful," and "Tevye in New York!," lauded by Broadway World as "Delightful." He has also written and directed the popular Civil War drama "Frederick Douglass in the Shadow of Slavery," Starring Broadway’s Mel Johnson Jr.

Dugan's repertoire includes solo plays like "The Ghosts of Mary Lincoln," acclaimed by the LA Times as "Spellbinding," and "Robert E. Lee – Shades of Gray," praised by Stage Happenings as "Brilliant." His latest endeavor is a trilogy of multi-character plays titled "Cemetery Pub," "Irish Goodbye," and "Hank & Otto."
