About this Event

Project Profile:

The Rainbow Valley Bridges in Edmonton—twin four-span, precast post-tensioned structures on Whitemud Drive—were widened and rehabilitated as part of the Terwillegar Drive Stage 2 project. Each bridge required an added traffic lane, a new girder line, and a widened deck, along with a partial-depth deck removal and a new HPC overlay to extend service life by 40 years. The presentation will look at construction challenges, strategies and solutions faced during the completion of the Westbound Bridge Rehabilitation, and provide an update on the overall progress of the project.

Presenters:

Brandon Martin, P.Eng.

Brandon is a Project Engineer with diverse experience across quality control, field engineering, project coordination, and site supervision. He has successfully contributed to major infrastructure projects, including the Inuvik Mike Zubko Airport expansion, Edmonton Valley Line SE LRT, and Stadium LRT Station Redevelopment, and is currently the Resident Site Inspector for the Rainbow Valley Bridges project. Brandon is passionate about delivering high-quality projects efficiently and fostering collaboration to overcome complex construction challenges.

Evan Kloster, M.Eng., E.I.T.
