Presented by Michelle Gray, PhD and Sara Gibson, MD
Sleep turns memories into wisdom. Learn about and discuss Dr. Matthew Walker’s seminal book, “Why We Sleep.” We humans need 7 or more hours of sleep in order to stay healthy in both mind and body. However, one in three persons in the US reports not getting enough rest or sleep. Discover the sleep stages involved in dreaming and a 12-point plan promoting good sleep outlined by Dr. Walker.
This Book Talk is a part of Dr. Gray's ArtX/ First Friday Installation, “Dreamscapes Unveiled: Exploring Sleep, Dreams, and Art,” on display at Open Door Art in Action Gallery at 423 Beaver Street from May 17th- June 8th.
