Most relationships don’t fall apart in one big moment. They drift. Slowly. Quietly. Often before both partners are on the same page about what’s changing. This in-person evening is a grounded, research-based look at what actually keeps relationships strong over time and what quietly pulls them apart.
I’m Laila Presotto, founder of The Relationship Clinic. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Educator with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in Squamish, North Vancouver, internationally, and online. This talk brings together the patterns I see every day in my work. The real risk factors that slowly undermine connection, and the tools that help couples repair, reconnect, and feel emotionally safe again.
January is often when people start noticing things they’ve been pushing aside. Some couples feel stuck or distant. Some feel more like roommates than partners. Others feel good but want to protect what they have before problems take hold. This evening is designed for all of that.
This evening is for:
-Couples who want to strengthen their relationship and stay ahead of the problems.
-Couples who feel stuck or stagnant.
-Couples who feel like they’re on their last leg.
-Couples who want one real chance to repair.
-Individuals are welcome to attend as well.
What you’ll gain:
• How to recognize early signs of relationship breakdown
• Why emotional distance builds slowly and often goes unnoticed
• How to strengthen communication in grounded, healthy ways
• How to deepen emotional connection and intimacy
• How to move out of “roommate mode”
• How couples successfully repair conflict and stay connected through stress
