Kick off the Christmas season with a day full of festive fun during Whoville Christmas on Saturday, November 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Downtown Jonesborough.Stop by the Christopher Taylor Cabin to grab a selfie and enjoy a green treat from the Grinch himself.💚
Show off your Christmas spirit and compete for the title of Cheermeister at 1 p.m. in front of the Courthouse. Gather a group of three to five people and take part in fun challenges, including:

Support small businesses by shopping locally during Small Business Saturday. Visit the Shop Small Welcome Tent, located next to the Washington County Courthouse, to pick up a shopping bag and some Jonesborough swag, while supplies last.
The Christmas Marketplace will take place on the Plaza of the International Storytelling Center and feature handmade gifts from local artisans, making it the perfect spot for holiday shopping. Inside the Storytelling Center, kids can enjoy face painting, crafts, and Whoville Hair Styling at the Whoville Salon.
Stop inside the Jackson Theatre for a free Grinch-themed craft! The Jackson Theatre will also be showing The Grinch at 3 p.m. You can purchase your ticket here: https://thejacksontheatre.com/events/the-grinch/
Enjoy delicious food and sweets from local food trucks on the west side of the Courthouse, and don’t forget to support our downtown restaurants, including Main Street Café, Jackson’s Prime, Opossum’s Tale, Buzzed Wings, and Boone Street Market.
Santa will be in Jonesborough to hand out treats and take photos with kids in his sleigh. Be sure to bring your Santa Letters to drop off in the North Pole Mailbox beside the Courthouse. Letters dropped off by Wednesday, December 17, with a return address, will receive a letter back from Santa before Christmas.
Free gift wrapping will be offered inside the International Storytelling Center for purchases made in the downtown shops or at the Christmas Marketplace. Gift wrapping will be available each Saturday during Christmas in Olde Jonesborough.
