Leadership is about awareness. And how we show up with others.
As a leader, are you aware of how your behaviour is experienced by others?
And how factors like authority, trust, and gender shape that experience?
This year, our IWD event we will explore what connected leadership really looks like and how gender, lived experience, and life stages shape the way leadership is expressed, perceived, and received.
This conversation brings together three critical threads:
- Connection as leadership currency. Emotional intelligence, social awareness, and the ability to read the room.
- Leadership maturity. The shift from “I” to “We” to “You,” and what it means to build strong, independent others.
- Gender and decision-making. How leadership styles are interpreted differently in men and women, and how women take up space, lead through change, and navigate life stages that impact confidence, capacity, and perception.
Our speaker for the evening is Dr Fiona Kerr, Founder and CEO of The NeuroTech Institute and FOCUS Consulting. Fiona is a globally recognised expert in how humans think, connect and make decisions, particularly in complex and technology enabled environments. With qualifications spanning cognitive science, systems engineering, psychology and anthropology, and more than 40 years of industry experience, she brings deep insight into building flourishing human systems and leading with trust, awareness and clarity.
Fiona will share firsthand insights drawn from decades of leadership experience, research and observation.
The evening will include a 30 minute talk by Dr Fiona Kerr, followed by a live Q&A with Fiona curated by Rebecca Kennedy, HR Manager at Resolve. From there, we’ll move into table based breakout discussions, giving everyone the opportunity to reflect, share perspectives and connect with others in the room.
