Set in a faded seaside town, White Liars unfolds in the cluttered booth of Sophie Lemberg, a fortune teller with a flair for theatrical mystique and a past steeped in faded grandeur. Into her world step Frank, a cynical music manager, and Tom, his troubled rock singer client. Frank has paid Sophie to manipulate Tom’s romantic choices through staged clairvoyance, but as the reading progresses, it becomes clear that everyone is lying, not just to each other, but to themselves.
