English belowLaugardaginn 6. júní kl. 20:00 fara fram tónleikar í Silfurbergi í Hörpu þar sem Hildur ásamt hljómsveit flytur í fyrsta sinn á Íslandi verkið Where to From ásamt eldra efni. Where to From er pantað af Listahátíð í Reykjavík, Barbican Centre, Vienna Konzerthaus og Holland Festival. Auk Hildar, sem syngur og leikur á selló, koma fram Liam Bryne sem leikur á víólu da gamba, söngkonurnar Jessika Kenney og Else Torp, víóluleikarinn Eyvind Kang og sellóleikarinn Claire O’Connell. Um ljósahönnun sér Theresa Baumgartner og hljóðhönnun er í höndum Francesco Donadello.
Um verkið segir Hildur:
„Ég er nánast með stöðugan straum af tónlist í höfðinu. Stundum tek ég strauminn upp og er hann þá eins konar skjáskot af tilfinningum mínum á þeim tímapunkti. Where to From er hljóðdagbókin mín. Ég hlakka til að opna hana fyrir áheyrendum í Hörpu ásamt góðum vinum”.

On Saturday 6 June at 20:00, Hildur and her ensamble will perform the new work Where to From as well as earlier works in Harpa’s Silfurberg. Where to From was commissioned by Reykjavík Arts Festival, Barbican Centre, Vienna Konzerthaus, and Holland Festival. In addition to Hildur, who sings and plays cello, the performance features Liam Byrne on viola da gamba, vocalists Jessika Kenney and Else Torp, violist Eyvind Kang, and cellist Claire O’Connell. Lighting design is by Theresa Baumgartner and sound design by Francesco Donadello.
Hildur says of the piece:
“I have a fairly constant stream of music in my head. Sometimes I record this stream, and it becomes a kind of snapshot of my emotions at that moment. Where to From is my audio diary. I’m excited to open it up to the audience at Harpa, together with good friends.”
