Where is AI and Where is it going
Join the Workforce Development Council and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii at the Hawaii State Capitol Auditorium on April 30, 2026 at 8:30 AM (HST) for a symposium on Artificial Intelligence.
This event, presented by the AI Safety Awareness Project, will explore what AI can do today and what its continued rapid advancement could mean for society. Whether you're a tech newbie or an AI enthusiast, this in-person event is a great chance to learn, ask questions, and connect with others interested in the future of AI. Don’t miss out!

11:00 -12:00 - AI, Privacy, and Data (Exploring how AI interacts with data/privacy across multiple levels and introduce ways of thinking about future impact.)

1:00 -2:30 : The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) transition: How AI Affects Work and Life (How might extremely capable AI systems affect our day to day life? How Artificial General Intelligence would affect our social dynamics, all in a bid to better understand what we’re facing).
2:30-4:30 Intro to AI Evals (Workshop to teach participants how to construct their own AI safety evaluations)
