Saturday Oct 5:Jesus Caballero brings his new project Where Hands Do Not Meet to Tyrant Studios. He is one of the co-founders and drummer of local band Omianan that received a nomination by the 2022 Western Canadian Music Awards. This time around he’s been writing exciting new music with a specific sonic pallet in mind, with JP Carter on trumpet, Peggy Lee on cello, Cole Schmidt on guitar, Cat Toren on piano, and James Meger on bass. The music drives back and forward between the borders of rock, pop, experimental, and jazz.
Opening act will be the Daniel Deorksen Band, performing a set of originals featuring Thomas Houlden, Choenden Kyirong, Connor Lum, Kurt Schindelka, Michael Wadham, Cole Woodland, Isaac Zee and special guest Emily Cheung.
