About this Event
"Where Broken Boys Go" delves into the lives of five young men who become wards of the state and are placed in a residential facility. The story centers around two residents in particular; it’s soon revealed that the boys are biological brothers who spent much of their childhoods in the foster care system. One experiences a comfortable upbringing in a permanent foster home with a chance to thrive, while the other suffers immensely, being placed in several unstable and abusive homes.
Consumed with resentment and betrayal, one brother struggles to see the joy of reuniting with his long-lost brother, creating further separation. However, the meaningful connections made with other young men, whose stories collectively expose a variety of profound traumas, eventually cement a unique brotherhood. The alliances formed help the two brothers work through their issues. In an environment filled with fear, rejection, and despair, these brothers find strength, healing, and forgiveness through friendship.
