When the Clock Stops follows the story of a young girl named Alice who wrestles with the pressures of growing up in a world that tells her who she should be—what to chase, how to look, and where to find her worth. Longing to escape the noise, she wanders to a wishing well and tumbles into a realm where imagination reshapes reality. Through a series of surreal encounters and symbolic characters, Alice begins to see reflections of her own heart—mirrors of comparison, pride, fear, and desire. Each dance draws her closer to understanding that her identity isn’t something the world can give or take away; it’s something woven into her from the beginning—by design, with purpose, and for meaning beyond herself. Blending original choreography, immersive storytelling, and a modern take on a timeless tale, When the Clock Stops is a coming-of-age journey through confusion, courage, and ultimate discovery: that who we are is not found in the world’s reflection, but in the truth of how we were created.
