On Wednesday 5th November between 1-3pm we have a brand new writing circle taking up residency in our fabulous library. This special gathering will meet every Wednesday for a total of 6 weeks. Each week will be based around a seasonal theme, drawing on Celtic folklore and traditions.
As we approach winter the themes will be naturally connected with the dark half of the year and the characters that dominate- the Crone, the Holly King, Cerridwen as well as the symbolism of the Elder tree and corvid birds.
Fabulously rich in imagery, Karen, your group leader, will be sharing fabulous stories and prompts with an aim to inspire you and see how this comes out in your writing.
This is isn’t about being a good writer or really creative. It’s a bit of quiet focused time to pause and reflect and delve into folklore to find out what it might still have to teach us.
