About this Event
Join us in-person or online for our weekly Community Night: an open, cross-tradition discussion space where we learn, share, and build community together. We gather every Wednesday evening for discussion, meditation, ritual nights, and more, with time to socialize before and after.
This week's topic: Litha and Rites of Passage
Every meaningful life is punctuated by moments when we step out of what we were and into what we're becoming: getting your driver's license, burying a parent, saying "I do," standing alone in your first apartment with no one to call you home for dinner. Every culture in history has built ceremony around these passages, because a transition that big deserves recognition and support. Litha — the summer solstice — is our annual Rite of Passage: the sun at its full height, the crab shedding its shell to grow, the carefree wanderer taking up the weight of responsibility. We'll talk about the three-part shape every rite of passage shares, the myths that describe it (including Skaði's reluctant journey from grief to belonging), and the personal challenges you might be facing right now. We'll help you find the strength to face your own Rite of Passage this year.
