About this Event
What Works is a free, two-hour workshop that shares the common behaviors of artists with enduring, sustainable practices. Grounded in the real concerns artists face, it approaches career building from the artist’s point of view.
These ideas come directly from artists across disciplines who have participated in the Artist INC program over the past 15 years and form the foundation of Artist INC.
Artist INC Topeka peer facilitators Huascar Medina and Becki Waugh will break down the concepts and share personal and professional examples artists can apply to their own work.
Topics include • Goal setting and planning • Portfolio careers and multiple income streams • Communication • Strategic networking • Financial planning • And more
The workshop includes the What Works presentation, time for discussion with peer facilitators, and a panel conversation with Artist INC alumni. Information on applying for the Artist INC Topeka 2026 cohort will also be available.
Hosted by ArtsConnect, created by Mid-America Arts Alliance and supported by the Kansas Arts Commission. Learn more at www.artistinc.art.
