We hear the word sustainable everywhere. At the grocery store, on menus, in conversations about health and the environment. But what does it actually mean? And how does it show up in the food we eat every day?
This session is a chance to slow down and take a closer look.
Ellen Conti, Director of Phillies Bridge Farm Project, brings a practical, local perspective to the conversation. With a background in agriculture, renewable energy, and hands-on farm work here in the Hudson Valley, she’ll walk us through what sustainable agriculture really looks like beyond the buzzwords.
We’ll talk about how food is grown, what it takes to build a system that supports both people and the land, and why it matters more than most of us realize. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of where your food comes from and a few small ways to think about your own choices differently.
As always, this is not a lecture. It’s a conversation.
The evening will include time to connect, ask questions, and spend time with others who are thinking a little more intentionally about how they live, eat, and show up in their community.
