About this Event
On Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., the Institute of Musical Arts welcomes back the sixteenth installment of our WOMEN’S VOICES Storytelling Concert Series, with their performance, “What Is Home?”.
A long time resident of Los Angeles is on her way to visit the old family home in rural Texas before the property is sold. In the train station she encounters a nosy custodian, who upon learning of the purpose of the trip, tells of taking a similar trip years earlier. Later, three friends arrive to see the traveler off, and they tell very different humorous stories of what “home” means to each of them. Having lived in various parts of the country, and even of the world, they acknowledge that home is certainly more than just a building.
The show features storytellers: Barbara H. Clark, Carrie Tyler, Joni Arlin, Donna Richardson, Martine Brousse.
You can buy tickets by calling (323) 294-1235, or at https://whatishomewomensvoices.eventbrite.com. As is our custom at the Institute of Musical Arts, a catered reception will follow the performance.
Ours is a small, intimate theater and seating is limited, so please reserve your tickets in advance, or call the theater in advance to confirm ticket availability. Tickets for the performance are $25. For additional information call: (323) 294-1235.
