Join us for “What I Was Wearing,” a powerful pop-up exhibit in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This exhibit challenges the harmful myth that clothing causes sexual assault by sharing real stories from survivors alongside recreations of what they were wearing at the time of their assault. The display highlights a difficult truth: sexual assault is never about what someone was wearing. It is about power, control, and violence.
We invite community members to walk through this exhibit, listen to survivors’ stories, reflect, and stand with us in saying No More to sexual violence.
Location: Cook Memorial Library – Community Room
Date: April 7 (Sexual Assault Awareness Month Day of Action)
Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
This exhibit may be emotionally difficult. Resources and advocates will be available for anyone who needs support.
Together, we can raise awareness, challenge harmful narratives, and support survivors in our community.
