About this Event
Many PhD graduates struggle to transition successfully into their next role following an intense period of study and significant time can be wasted feeling uncertain about options and where to focus. The PhD employment market is vibrant and diverse. Now more than ever it is important to be prepared and agile when managing our careers within this evolving space.
This online workshop provides a step by step process that will enable you to recognise what you have to offer and how to prepare, engage and navigate a range of career options, including those within higher education. Designed and facilitated by Dr Danielle White a former academic, executive coach and entrepreneur, Danielle holds a PhD that explores the role of agency in career decision making and has supported hundreds of PhDs and Academics to transition efficiently into meaningful careers through her workshops and academic transition coaching.
The course is highly interactive and theoretically based, set over 4 weeks, each week requires a commitment of between 2 and 4 hours to complete an activity that will be outlined via video link, and either one or two Zoom sessions where within breakout rooms you will work in pairs or groups to creatively explore, understand or plan for your next role. Peer coaching, collaborative research, interactive online spaces and tutorials are used:
