About this Event

If you have more than 3 members of your staff team wanting to attend our training, we will instead offer bespoke training at a place convenient to you and your staff team.

This course is part of our multi-agency training programme aimed at any staff, volunteers and carers working with or supporting young people.

Training is FREE to all those working in Nottingham City and Southern Boroughs (Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe).

There is an expectation that participants will already have completed basic CSE awareness training within the last two years before applying to join this course.

Course Description

This course explores perceptions of masculinity and importantly, how this impacts upon boys and young men's ability to access services for help when they need it.

This training will explore specific issues impacting upon boys and young men at risk of and involved in CSE/CCE and will discuss the realities and complexities in order to equip practitioners with an increased understanding of the ways that exploitation may manifest itself.

The training will cover how practitioners can identify, assess and address it in modern circumstances.

By the end of the training participants will be able to highlight ways in which professionals can work with boys and young men effectively, enabling them to feel safe enough to disclose and access necessary support
