Join us to hear pioneering underwater cameraman and documentary maker Andrew Penniket reflect on fifty years of diving adventures across the South Seas.A former producer and cameraman for Natural History New Zealand, Andrew is the author of Whales, Snails and Lobster Tales – Memoirs of an Underwater Cameraman and has filmed for the BBC and the Discovery Channel.
In this talk he will share some of his favourite images and footage from sites around New Zealand, the wider Pacific, and Antarctica. Hear the stories behind the shots and about the highlights and challenges of filming underwater – sometimes in the dead of night.
This event is part of Wild Dunedin: New Zealand Festival of Nature.
