About this Event
OUR FALL FEST IS BACK BABES, and her lineup is to die for. This year, we're taking over the Bramble Arts Loft Cabaret space! Our WeWomen Play Festival will feature readings from six feminist plays, along with some specialty networking events. Access to these events is included with your ticket!
This yearโs lineup is particularly powerful:
- Kumquats on the QT by Tamar Brooks: Two actors, one in their 70s and one in college, explore feminism across generations.
- the principalโs committee. by mantra: A sharp look at decolonization, told through the lens of the #2 school in India striving to be #1.
- Adult Children of Mandatory Mothers Anonymous (ACOMMA) by Marjorie Muller: A play with original music that examines the overlooked impact of forced pregnancy on the child.
- Floating Girls Go To The Moon by Maria Arreola: A bilingual tale infused with folklore and fantasy.
- Ghost Trap by Silma Sierra Berrada: A hauntingly beautiful piece about family bonds under the weight of gender trauma, scarcity, and housing insecurity.
- burn my body before they find it by Perse Grammer: A fresh, searing perspective on bodily autonomy.
