About this Event
WET PAINT LA
Exhibition Dates: March 21st – April 5th
Los Angeles, CA — proudly announces its first-ever West Coast exhibition, WET PAINT LA hosted at Secret Walls Studios, a landmark showcase featuring over 100 custom NYC “Wet Paint” signs transformed into original works of art by some of the world’s most renowned graffiti and street artists.
Running from March through April 5, WET PAINT LA brings the raw energy of New York City’s subways to Los Angeles, uniting legends, pioneers, and contemporary voices of graffiti culture under one roof. Each artist was given the same iconic New York City “Wet Paint” sign — a ubiquitous object pulled from the fabric of the cities subway system — and invited to reinterpret it as a one-of-a-kind piece. The result is a powerful collection of sculptural, painted, and mixed-media works that blur the line between public intervention and fine art.
Born from the streets and elevated to the gallery, WET PAINT LA celebrates graffiti not just as an art form, but as a global movement. From subway tunnels to museum walls, the artists featured in this exhibition represent decades of influence, innovation, and cultural impact.
This exhibition marks a significant moment for Wet Paint as it expands beyond New York for the first time, building a bridge between two cities that have shaped the trajectory of contemporary street art.
The exhibition has toured globally to cities including New York City, Tokyo, Philadelphia, Shanghai, Miami, and Atlanta.

About the Founder & Curator - Dave “Persue” Ross
Dave Persue Ross is an internationally recognized graffiti artist, designer, and cultural innovator whose work has spanned decades and continents. Emerging from the early graffiti movement, Persue developed a distinctive visual language blending bold character design, street aesthetics, and fine art sensibility.
Best known for his iconic character BunnyKitty and his contributions to the evolution of graffiti into contemporary art spaces, Persue has exhibited globally while remaining deeply rooted in the culture that shaped him.
As founder of Wet Paint, Persue envisioned transforming an everyday symbol of New York City into a collectible canvas — preserving graffiti’s spirit of intervention while elevating it into a curated, archival format.
