Discover the magic of wet felting as you create a soft, sculptural wool vessel from start to finish. In this hands-on class, students will use 100% merino wool and warm soapy water to felt wool fibers over a simple resist, forming a small bowl or vessel with a smooth, organic shape. This process-focused workshop is perfect for beginners—no prior felting experience is needed. We’ll cover fiber layout, wet felting techniques, and shaping, allowing each student to create a one-of-a-kind piece. Finished vessels are perfect for holding jewelry, air plants, small treasures, or simply displaying as a beautiful handmade object.
Students may complete their vessel during class, though some pieces may benefit from additional shaping or drying time at home. The simplicity of the form allows faster students to explore color blending or subtle texture, while beginners can focus on mastering the basics.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a unique felted vessel and the skills to continue wet felting on your own.
