Transform soft wool fibers into a sculptural bowl using the tactile, almost meditative process of wet felting.
Overview
In this hands-on fiber workshop, soap, water, wool, and movement come together as you learn how loose fibers transform into durable felted fabric through rolling, rubbing, shaping, and agitation. Along the way, you’ll experiment with colorful wool, silk, bamboo fibers, and yarn to create rich textures and organic patterns that make each piece completely one of a kind.
Each participant will create a sculptural felted bowl or vessel perfect for holding dried flowers, yarn, jewelry, keys, or small treasures around the home. You’ll also leave with foundational wet felting skills that can open the door to future fiber projects like scarves, bags, and wearable art.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and designed for curious makers who enjoy tactile materials, process-based creativity, and making something both functional and beautiful by hand.

Taught by Jenny Torino, a teaching artist for the past 10 years and has been working with fiber and textiles for the past 5 years. She loves creating sculptures using needle felting, wet felting and paper. She also has a regular sewing practice and loves teaching children and adults this useful and empowering skill.
