About this Event
Art Hop showcases the work of local and regional artists on Ann Arbor’s Old West Side in a fun, friendly, and fabulously accessible way. Walk the neighborhood on Saturday June 13th, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday June 14th, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Neighbors on Ann Arbor's historic West Side volunteer to host artists on their porches, in garages and yards, and some local artist-hosts share their home or studio with others.
Art Hop is many artists’ favorite fair every year because it’s fun, well-attended, and very inexpensive for artists.
For visitors, strolling around Art Hop is a relaxing and free way to get outdoors, meet the artists, and of course, see and purchase unique, hand-made works of art. Visitors enjoy seeing juried fine art and crafts created in many different mediums - and no parking headaches!
In early June, a printable, interactive map goes live to provide directions to the 25-30 venues where 90+ artists are set up. Visitors can filter the map by medium or name to see which venues will be most interesting to them. Throughout the neighborhood, Art Hop signage directs visitors along a numbered route for those who want to see it all. Step free access is marked. Bright red pennants flutter outside of each venue in addition to the bright yellow “Venue” signs that mark locations.
The map shows nearby eateries, and this year’s event will include a selection of food trucks specifically hired for the convenience of Art Hop attendees. There will also be some artists set up in the Eberwhite School East parking lot, nestled into Eberwhite Woods, one of Ann Arbor’s many wonderful nature preserves. Kids may appreciate a break at the school’s playgrounds. It's a beautiful neighborhood to visit!
