Pride Week is here Griffins! Join us for the Pride Kickoff Event featuring FREE lite bites, Pride crafts, airbrush tattoos, and a Pride Week poster gallery. Everyone is welcome--come support our Queer Griffins and celebrate the LGBTQ+ Community!
Tuesday, April 15th
- Broadway Medley: 12 PM-1 PM (Richer Commons-Dumke Student Theater in case of inclement weather)
A student selection of Broadway songs that highlight LBGTQ themes, artists, and content.
Wednesday, April 16th
- Pride Resource Fair & Queer Coffee House: 11 AM-1 PM (Richer Commons-Fair, Giovale Library, Anne Sutton Newman Weeks Reading Room-Queer Coffee House)
Resource Fair- Calling all Griffins! Join us at the Pride Week Resource Fair & Queer Market. Come learn about resources for the Queer Community in Utah from campus and community partners and discover your new favorite local Queer artists and artisans! Plus FREE food and tie-dye. Whether you’re looking to connect, create, be a better ally, or just have fun…this event is for YOU! Everyone is welcome—bring a friend or two and your fabulous self.
Queer Coffee House- Celebrate queer voices and stories at the Giovale Library Queer Coffee House! Our café will feature a Pride-themed book display, a cozy DJ set by Lilith Magdalene, and an exhibit on queer history at Westminster University. Come by to enjoy coffee donated by Sugar House Coffee and delicious snacks.
Know Your Fight: Panel and Open Forum: 6 PM-7 PM (Alumni House Lower Level)
Overwhelmed by the constant changes, government chaos, and attempts to take away rights? Want to get involved but feel too overwhelmed by the number of things to fight for? Come to the Know Your Fight panel and open forum to learn from community organizers, student activists, and dedicated advocates about how they chose a cause, got involved, and made change! Leave the panel knowing how to identify a cause that matters to you, feeling refreshed in your power, and ready to fight for change!
Thursday, April 17th
- Queer Outdoor Student Yoga: 12 PM-1PM (Village Green-SIWC Wellness Room in case of inclement weather)
Join Queer Compass and ASW for Outdoor Yoga and celebrate Pride Week with good vibes, great people, and delicious treats! This is the perfect chance to unwind, connect with your fellow Griffins, enjoy nature, and prioritize your mental health and wellness. Everyone and every skill level is welcome – see you there!
- Pride Week Drag Show: 6 PM-8PM (Shaw)
Get ready to slay Griffins! Come and enjoy an unforgettable night of drag hosted by professional Queens and featuring fierce student performances! Plus FREE finger foods and a fabulous mocktail bar. Whether you come for the glam, the drama, or to show your support…there isn’t a better way to end Pride Week than this Griffins. Everyone is welcome, so bring your besties and enjoy the Queer joy!
