The Western State Law Review Board is proud to announce our Annual Law Review Symposium, which will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This year’s Symposium is currently titled Redistricting and Representation: Voting Rights at a Crossroads. (MCLE pending!)
This year’s theme focuses on the rapidly evolving landscape of voting rights, including:
- Congressional redistricting developments
- The future of Section 2, particularly in light of the pending Louisiana v. Callais decision
- Gerrymandering and partisan map-drawing
- Communities of interest
- Broader questions about representation and the trajectory of federal and state voting-rights protections
