Come one, come all!March 27-30
Kuykendall Group Campground
Heritage Tenkara Project has rented the campground for the days listed. Camping will be free. If you aren’t a camper, there are plenty of airbnb’s in the area and local places to stay! Feel free to stop by and still participate in the tenkara gathering. We won’t always be fishing and this will be a meeting point for gatherings before and fishing. It is a great place to meet other tenkara anglers and people who love the same thing you do. Maybe you’re just starting out or maybe you’re an experienced tenkara angler…either way, let’s come together and tell some lies 😉
No tenkara rod necessary. Bring the gear you already fish with and maybe get out on the water with a tenkara angler. We are all always learning!! I am sure there will be plenty of rods to try and many people who want to help others experience the joy that tenkara brings them on the water.

Please be advised, per the website,
"Vehicles must cross a creek to enter Kuykendall camping area. Due to rocky and uneven conditions of the stream bed, this crossing is only passable by high-clearance vehicles. Even during periods of low water, this crossing is not appropriate for low-clearance vehicles.“
There should be places to park before the creek crossing and there have already been a few volunteers to shuttle you across when the time comes to setup camp! Just please reach out to Haley or I for assistance. (Haley is the other co-host of this event.)
Please keep your eye on the discussion thread on this event page or reach out to us with any questions!
