Professionals and parents/caregivers are invited to join us for a free workshop.
This special event is focused on supporting young children with autism. Learn about best practices to help children with autism thrive. This in-person event will provide valuable insights and strategies for professionals, parents, and caregivers. During this workshop, we will:
- Review signs of autism in young children
- Identify core features of autism with emphasis on principles of person-centeredness, neurodiversity, and inclusion
- Examine assumptions and beliefs about challenging behavior in young children
- Review evidence-based practices in autism and developmentally sensitive positive behavior support strategies relevant to toddlers and preschoolers with autism.
- Collaboratively identify strategies to implement in small group breakout sessions
