Singers and music lovers! All are welcome to our next edition of West Vocal Jam featuring Mississauga’s professional Artist Carla Gonzalez-Casanova! Join us on Monday, November 24 at 7pm at the Crooked Cue in Port Credit. This event was created to support vocalists in an encouraging, laid-back environment. All levels welcome. Our featured vocalist Carla Gonzalez-Casanova is a celebrated vocalist and visual artist known for her powerful voice and electrifying performances. One of the Greater Toronto Area's most active world music performers, Carla captivates thousands each year as the frontwoman of Latintrain and Wharpo, two of Toronto’s most popular Latin music acts.
We have some distinguished musicians performing for us including Peter Hill on keys and David Field on bass.
Due to demand, singers are asked to email [email protected] to pre-register to have a guaranteed performance spot. ALL ATTENDEES are welcome to pay-what-you-can in lieu of a cover charge. Suggested donation of $10-$20.
Singers - bring 2 copies of your charts or lead sheets for the band. Please note – NO SHEET MUSIC or multiple pages. If you need any help with this, please contact Heather directly.
West Vocal Jam is created and presented by Heather Christine. This event is proudly supported by the Port Credit Community Foundation, the City of Mississauga, the Mississauga Arts Council and the Crooked Cue.
The purpose of the event is to provide a welcoming, encouraging community space where we can sing, learn and jam for the love of music! Zero pressure! Just fun!
The Crooked Cue is located at 75 Lakeshore Rd E in Mississauga. Kindly be advised this venue is not wheelchair accessible.
