About this Event
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts presents the Chamber Music Series featuring the West Texas Jazz Orchestra, Sunday, May 17 from 3–5 PM in the Grand Hall of the museum.
We close this season’s Chamber Music Series with a special addition: a high-energy concert with the West Texas Jazz Orchestra. Founded in 2003 by drummer and bandleader James Bode, this 16-piece big band brings together some of the finest jazz musicians in the region. Featuring a classic lineup of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and rhythm section, the ensemble is dedicated to performing authentic arrangements from the golden age of big band—reviving the iconic sounds of legends like Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, and Count Basie. Join us for a vibrant season finale celebrating SAMFA’s Chamber Music Series.
Admission is $15 General Admission, $8 Seniors and Military, free to students. Tickets can be purchased here and in the SAMFA Gift Shop. Ticket prices are subject to change for in-person tickets to account for taxes, service fees, or processing costs applied at the time of purchase.
The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The Chamber Music Series is generously sponsored by Jake Martin and Dr. Kathryn Louie. For more information about SAMFA, go to . Follow the museum’s socials for up-to-the-minute news and information.
