About this Event
We’re hosting a Derby party and spring feast on May 2nd at 5pm in the West Sixth beer garden. Enjoy great food, drinks, and watch the most exciting two minutes in sports on the big screen.
Tickets are $55 per person and include:
- An opening beer of your choice from a select menu, and fried banana pepper rings to get started
- 13oz beer that’s been expertly chosen to pair with your main meal
- A cocktail from our Derby-themed cocktail menu
- For your main course, Smithtown is serving up Pork Loin marinated in orange and adobo with oregano chimichurri, and Fried Cod with mojo isleño sauce. Pick one when you go through the line, or have a little of both!
Every main course includes
- A FoodChain salad with carrots, radishes, cucumbers, croutons, and smoked tomato ranch
- Garlic roasted asparagus
- Fried ripe plantains
- Chickpea sofrito pilaf
- Midway Bakery baguette with garlic herb butter to top it off
For dessert, enjoy Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie from Midway Bakery!
You can also buy premium bourbon pours, which go perfectly with dessert. Check out our cold seafood bar with fresh oysters or Manny’s Shrimp Cocktail, both available for purchase.
Doors open at 5pm, and you’ll start with your snack and beer.
The cold seafood bar, main bar, and barrel room bar will all be open at this time.
We’ll serve the main course at 5:30pm. Pick your entrée and beer pairing, and feel free to enjoy your cocktail whenever you like.
Dessert will be served at 6:30pm.
The race starts at 6:57pm.
If you think you’ll want more beer, you can buy extra beer tickets in advance for $5 each, which is about 20% off the regular price. Just add them during your Eventbrite checkout.
Please note, this event is for ages 21 and up, and pets are not allowed.
The menu is set as listed. If you have questions, let us know. Dietary accommodations are always an option but must be shared at time of booking.
If you want to sit with friends who bought tickets separately, just email us. We’ll arrange seating ahead of time, like we’ve done for past beer dinners, to make your arrival easy.

Put on your best or most creative Derby hat and join us at West Sixth for Derby Day. Festive Derby outfits are encouraged, like colorful dresses, suits, and bowties, but casual clothes are welcome too.
