West Oakland Owning Our Air Community Fair

Five years ago, West Oakland neighbors came together to develop , a groundbreaking approach to reducing air pollution in one of California’s most disproportionately impacted communities. We’re five years into this 25-year plan and have much to celebrate!

We're showcasing the incredible progress the West Oakland community has made to bring real air quality improvements to the neighborhood and shift the government's approach to community investment.

• Discover the many ways West Oakland residents, scientists, and local governments are collaborating to reduce air pollution locally.
• Explore the science behind the work through demonstrations and hands-on activities.

• Meet the neighbors, researchers, and agency staff rolling up their sleeves to bring the West Oakland community’s vision to life.
