Five years ago, West Oakland neighbors came together to develop , a groundbreaking approach to reducing air pollution in one of California’s most disproportionately impacted communities. We’re five years into this 25-year plan and have much to celebrate!
Explore Owning Our Air in a family-friendly spaceWe're showcasing the incredible progress the West Oakland community has made to bring real air quality improvements to the neighborhood and shift the government's approach to community investment.
- Discover the many ways West Oakland residents, scientists, and local governments are collaborating to reduce air pollution locally.
- Explore the science behind the work through demonstrations and hands-on activities.
- Meet the neighbors, researchers, and agency staff rolling up their sleeves to bring the West Oakland community’s vision to life.
